Regional Director, Queens and Office of Sexual Harassment Issues
In 1996, Joyce Yearwood-Drury was appointed Director of the Office of Sexual Harassment Issues for the New York State Division of Human Rights. This office specifically investigates complaints of sexual harassment filed with the Division.
In this capacity, Ms. Yearwood-Drury conducts training across the State, to both private and public employers on issues of sexual harassment and other forms of discrimination. She has also represented the Division at numerous legal forums and in the media discussing these issues.
Prior to joining the Division, Ms. Yearwood-Drury served as a Counselor for the Western United Community House.
Ms. Yearwood-Drury holds a B.A.in History from SUNY Stony Brook and a J.D. from New York Law School.
