465.16 Settlements.
(a) Stipulation.
At any time after a determination of probable cause, the parties may stipulate to settle the case subject to the approval of the commissioner. Such stipulation shall either be in writing, signed by the parties or their attorneys, or be placed on the record at a public hearing.
(b) Terms.
(1) The stipulation should contain precise and unambiguous terms.
(2) The stipulation should include an agreement by the respondent to refrain or cease and desist from the commission of unlawful discriminatory practices in the future.
(3) The stipulation may include an escrow arrangement for the payment of any monies due thereunder.
(4) The stipulation should provide for the issuance of an order thereon by the commissioner, incorporating its operative terms.
(c) Order after stipulation.
(1) An order after stipulation may be signed and issued by the commissioner without a hearing and without finding of fact.
(2) Such order may be enforced in court in the same manner as any order issued by the commissioner.
