Overview
The New York State Division of Human Rights is dedicated to eliminating discrimination, remedying injustice, and promoting equal opportunity, access, and dignity through enforcement of the Human Rights Law
In addition to investigating, prosecuting and adjudicating discrimination cases, as well as proposing policy and legislation, our Division also works to strengthen communities by educating the public about their rights and responsibilities under the Human Rights Law. One of the ways in which our Division achieves this is through our many programs and initiatives, which are designed to provide New Yorkers the resources they need to report and address discrimination.
