The New York State Division of Human Rights is empowered by the law to, upon its own motion, initiate investigations and file complaints alleging violations of the state anti-discrimination law.
As such, the Division Initiated Action Unit (DIAU) is responsible for identifying, investigating, and bringing complaints to remedy large-scale and systemic discrimination in New York State.
You can submit a report for the DIAU to examine by emailing them at [email protected].
Please note that this does not constitute the filing of a verified complaint with the Division. You may learn about filing a complaint by visiting: https://dhr.ny.gov/how-file-complaint.
